Porcelain sculptures by Rachel Kneebone, including the artist’s largest and most ambitious work ‘399 Days’ (2012–13), are presented in V&A galleries, placing them in dialogue with historic objects in the Museum’s collection.

Marclay performs an experimental collaboration with John Armleder. The artists re-enact seminal performances by George Brecht, John Cage, Kurt Schwitters, and LaMonte Young, in addition to their own works from the 1960s onwards.
IHME Festival, Helsinki

Each year, the Pro Arte Foundation Finland invites an internationally recognised visual artist to make an artwork – the IHME Project – to be shown in a public space. For this year’s project Theaster Gates presents experimental jazz group 'The Black Monks of Mississippi' in various manifestations including a video installation, a concert and a weekend of talks.

Ibrahim Mahama presents an architectural intervention, incorporating jute sacks previously used to transport commodities, in Syntagma Square, Athens as part of documenta 14. For the first time this contemporary art exhibition, which takes place in Kassel, Germany every five years, also occupies various sites across Athens.

'The Swim'
He Xiangyu speaks about how witnessing changes to his home town of Kuandian in Northeast China prompted him to make his first film, ‘The Swim’ (2017). The film comprises interviews with residents of the town, including those who have fled North Korea by swimming to China.
