Current and Upcoming Exhibitions
Ilana Savdie
Glottal Stop
2 May – 14 June 2025
New York-based artist Ilana Savdie (b.1986, raised in Barranquilla, Colombia) draws on a range of subjects as source material, creating intricately detailed, vibrant paintings in acrylic, oil and beeswax that meditate on corporeal and metaphysical excess.
Christine Ay Tjoe
Covered and Cover
27 June – 16 August 2025
Preview: Thursday 26 June 2025, 3–6 pm
In her first solo exhibition in the United States, Christine Ay Tjoe presents a deeply introspective new body of work shaped by personal memory, emotional restraint and cultural expectations. Reflecting on family and grief, these paintings evoke a layered process of concealment—of covering and covering again — both emotionally and visually.
2 September – October 2025
'PURE GAZE' features 15 sculptural paintings from Tiona Nekkia McClodden's ongoing series ‘NEVER LET ME GO’, initiated in 2023. Debuting a new body of work, the exhibition furthers the artist's exploration of the idea of pressure through prolonged constriction, or a hold in excess of duration.
November – December 2025
White Cube New York presents an exhibition of paintings by Sylvia Snowden (b. 1942, North Carolina), who lives and works in Washington, DC. Over a six-decade-long career, the artist has developed a psychologically charged painting practice that addresses the African American experience. In her compositions, distorted figurative elements are rendered through expressive impasto brushstrokes, with colour, texture and form translating into a spectrum of human emotion.
