The Schirn Kunsthalle Frankfurt gallery will debut brand new works by Dresden painter Eberhand Havekost.
The exhibition entitled ‘Retina’ will present nineteen new works, created by the artist in the past twelve months. These will be shown along with a body of work that reflects the artist’s oeuvre.
The title ‘Retina’ derives from a series of six oil paintings that deal with the perception of the world of objects and their abstraction. In the past Havekost has been known to present the viewer with seductive qualities of a spontaneous painted surface, whilst also offering an opposing, heavily mediated image.
A catalogue accompanies the exhibition.
