Antony Gormley and the Kunsthaus Bregenz are realising a unique project in the High Alps of Vorarlberg, Austira,
‘Horizon Field’ is the first landscape installation of it’s kind, consisting of one hundred life-size solid cast-iron figures spanning a location of one hundred and fifty square kilometres of mountains. The figures are mounted up to several kilometres away from each other, some approachable, others not.
The changing climate of the mountainous region enables the pieces to be exposed to the elements, permitting new changes and developments in them.
