Until 15 August 2015
The inaugural Mardalsfossen Art Project opened on 20 June 2014 with Antony Gormley’s ANOTHER TIME (2014). The sculpture is now on view for a second exhibition period, until August 2015, visible in the mist from the 705 meter tall waterfall overlooking Eikesdalen Lake.
The project seeks to question the relevance of the sublime today as well as the relationship between space, time and nature.
‘ANOTHER TIME asks where the human being sits within the scheme of things. The work is designed to be placed within the flow of lived time. It is an attempt to bear witness to what it is like to be alive and alone in space and time exposed to the elements.’
— Antony Gormley
Curated by Be Andr and is sponsored by Nesset Municipality, Nesset Sparebank, Nesset Kraft AS and Galleri Opdahl, Stavanger.
