Beatriz Milhazes is among the 13 artists who have designed a poster for the Rio Olympics.
Official posters have been a tradition of the Olympic Games since the first ones were produced for the 1912 Games in Stockholm. They are selected by the organising committee and remain historical artefacts of each edition of the Games.
The 13 posters, previously on view at the Santiago Calatrava-designed Museu do Amanhã (Museum of Tomorrow), are now displayed at Deodoro Olympic Park and will remain there throughout the games. Afterwards, they will be distributed to local schools.
