Kunstraum Innsbruck presents a solo exhibition by Christian Marclay titled ‘Graphic Score’. Over the past 30 years, Christian Marclay has explored the fusion of fine art and audio cultures, transforming sounds and music into a visible, physical form through performance, collage, sculpture, installation, photography and video. Among the works featured is Manga Scroll (2010), a 20-metre long scroll featuring hundreds of onomatopoeic words excerpted from Manga cartoons, collaged by Marclay to create a chain of words buzzing with aural energy.
To celebrate the opening of ‘Graphic Score’ Christian Marclay will give two performances on consecutive nights:

Christian Marclay will perform Manga Scroll (2010) with David Moss and Zoom Zoom (2007-2016) with Shelley Hirsch at the Kunstraum Innsbruck in cooperation with Klangspuren Schwaz Festival of New Music.
23 September 2016
Christian Marclay will perform Graffiti Composition (1996), Fade to Slide (2012), To Be Continued (2016), Screenplay (2007), Manga Scroll (2010) with Shelley Hirsch and ensemBle baBel at Kunstraum Innsbruck in cooperation with Klangspuren Schwaz Festival of New Music.
