In his solo exhibition ‘Shake Rattle and Roll’ at the Staatsgalerie Stuttgart, Marclay explores one of the world’s most extensive Fluxus collections: the Sohm Archive. Marclay’s video installation Shake Rattle and Roll (2004) forms the centre piece of this exhibition. In this work, the artist investigates the sound potentials of Fluxus multiples and activates them acoustically.
