‘Chuck Close: Photographs’ is the first comprehensive survey of the photographic works of Chuck Close. The exhibition features works from the late 1960s to the present, ranging from black and white portraits to monumentally scaled, composite Polaroids and intimate daguerreotypes.
The exhibition was organised in collaboration with, and previously shown at, The Parrish Art Museum, New York and has also travelled to the University Museum of Contemporary Art (UMCA), Amherst, Massachusetts. The iteration at Henry Art Gallery incorporates a selection of objects from local collections including key paintings, works on paper, and tapestry related to the photographs.
