9 July 2015 – May 2016
Artworks by Damien Hirst and Kris Martin are among those featured in the fifth year of Sculpture in the City, an annual programme which places contemporary sculpture in the vicinity of iconic architectural landmarks in London’s ‘square mile’ financial district.
Kris Martin presents Altar (2014), a steel sculpture replicating the Van Eyck brothers’ famous Ghent Altarpiece, Adoration of the Mystic Lamb (1432), which will be on view at St Botolph-without-Bishopsgate Gardens. Bells II (2014) by Kris Martin will also be on view at Bishopsgate/London Wall Corner.
Damien Hirst’s 22-foot painted bronze sculpture Charity (2002-03) will be installed on Undershaft, off St Mary Axe. You can view a full map of sculpture locations here.
