13 June–30 September 2016
An exhibition of rarely seen works by David Hammons marks the artist’s first solo presentation in Greece. ‘David Hammons: Give Me A Moment’ includes work made in Los Angeles in the late 1960s and in Hammons’ New York studio in the past year. Featuring body prints, sculptures, paintings and documents relating to Hammons’ performances and public projects, the exhibition shows the extraordinary range of his art. Materials include fried chicken, bottle tops, cigarettes, hooded sweatshirts, hair, African masks and mirrors.
The exhibition was curated by Mark Godfrey, Senior Curator, International Art (Europe and Americas) at Tate Modern, London.
