Artist Talk and Book Launch, 12 November 2015, 7pm
Eddie Peake has created ‘The Forever Loop’ for the Curve, the Barbican’s exhibition space dedicated to a programme of new commissions. The exhibition comprises a web of architectural installations, choreographed performances and video. A rollerskater moves through the 90-metre long gallery, while a pair of dancers perform a choreographed sequence of movements, in dialogue with the artist’s animations screened on nearby monitors.
The continuous live performance takes place within a maze-like architectural structure designed by the artist, including a chequerboard dance floor and a vibrantly coloured text-based wall painting that spans the length of the curved wall.
On 12 November 2015 at 7pm, Peake will give an Artist Talk to launch 'Eddie Peake: The Forever Loop', an illustrated catalogue published for this exhibition. View full details here.
