Elad Lassry at Padiglione d'Arte Contemporanea
Padiglione d’Arte Contemporanea in Milan will be the first public institution in Italy to present a solo exhibition devoted to Elad Lassry's work. Curated by Alessandro Rabottini, this is the most comprehensive survey of his work to date.
Lassry is known for work that examines the ubiquity of the image in contemporary society and the possibility of redefining known visual codes and interpretative habits. He creates or rediscovers images from a vast array of sources, redeploying them in a variety of media, including photography, film, drawing and sculpture. Despite the diversity of his approach, Lassry has developed one of the most distinctive visual idioms in contemporary art and a rigorously focussed practice.
