Until 27 March 2016
Artist talk: Wednesday 24 February 2016, 6.30pm
Elad Lassry is among the artists included in ‘Photo-Poetics: An Anthology’ at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum. Consisting of photographs, videos and slide installations by ten international artists, the exhibition documents recent developments in photography, presenting a study on the nature, traditions and magic of photography in the context of rapid digital transformation. The works on display explore processes and techniques of photography as well as how photographic images circulate today.
To celebrate the exhibition ‘Photo-Poetics: An Anthology’, Lassry will be in conversation with artists Erin Shirreff and Kathrin Sonntag and curators Jennifer Blessing and Susan Thompson discussing themes relating to photographic practices today, including issues of identity, representation, reproduction, and the circulation of images in contemporary visual culture. The conversation will take place at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum at 6.30pm on Wednesday 24 February 2016, full details available here.
