14 February - 4 May 2014
Following on from Kunsthaus Bregenz, the Moderna Museet in Stockholm will now play host to 'Natural Motion' a solo exhibition by Gabriel Orozco. The exhibition will focus on Orozco's versatility as an artist as well as his approach to his own work. There will also be new series of stone sculptures on display.
The highlight of the exhibition is one of the artist’s most seminal installations, Dark Wave (2006). At almost fifteen meters long, the installation comprises of a synthetic-resin reconstruction of a whale skeleton, first shown in London in 2007.
By displaying a number of his earlier works in this show, Orozco anchors his new works in his own history, allowing viewers to engage more deeply with his characteristic practice, which spans all genres and media.
'Natural Motion' was organised by Kunsthaus Bregenz in collaboration with Moderna Museet.
