Gary Hume is one of Britain’s most celebrated contemporary artists, known for his brightly coloured paintings and use of abstract forms.
This exhibition features the early door paintings that earned Hume international recognition in the early 1990s as well as more recent paintings and sculptures from the artist’s studio.
Alongside his paintings is a display of works curated by Hume from Wolverhampton’s own collection.
Gary Hume is the third artist to appear in the Arts Council Collection’s series of Flashback shows, which showcase world-renowned British artists whose works were acquired early on by the Collection.
