Villa Schöningen presents a selection of paintings by Georg Baselitz from the artist’s own collection. The majority of the works in the exhibition were created between 1959 and 1966 and highlight Georg Baselitz’s creative Berlin phase, the period in which he first became internationally recognised. Many works from this period have never been shown in public before.
