Jake and Dinos Chapman talk at 92Y Tribeca, NY
Jake and Dinos Chapman will speak at 92Y, New York as part of the Art in Context series with Sir Norman Rosenthal.
Jake and Dinos Chapman first received critical recognition for their 1991 ‘Disasters of War’ sculpture in which plastic figurines enacted scenes from Francisco Goya’s ‘Disasters of War’ etchings. The Chapmans first collaborated in 1990 and have gone on to establish a reputation for challenging and provocative work. Their influential practice - comprising print, sculpture and installation - investigates contemporary politics, morality and religion with characteristic subversive humour.
