This is the first major exhibition of work by the Canadian artist Jeff Wall, considered one of the most influential contemporary photographers.
Jeff Wall is renowned for large-format photographs with subject matter that ranges from mundane corners of the urban environment to elaborate tableaux that take on the scale and complexity of nineteenth-century history paintings.
Wall's photographs often allude to philosophical problems of representation and art history, drawing on the compositions of the great masters.
