14 June – 28 September 2014
Liu Wei has been invited to create the fourth ‘Sensory Spaces’ installation at Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, Rotterdam. Located in the museum’s entrance hall, artists are invited to respond to the architectural qualities of the space, emphasising notions of transformation and surprise.
Liu Wei’s installation utilises characteristically urban materials, their scale and materiality entering into a dialogue with Richard Serra’s Waxing Arcs, as well as the museum’s concrete architecture.
Previous ‘Sensory Spaces’ installations have been created by artists Oscar Tuazon, Sabine Hornig and Elad Lassry
