Mona Hatoum at Joan Miró Foundation
The exhibition brings together some forty pieces from the last twenty years, with an emphasis on recent works. It intends to widen the commonly-held vision of this Palestinian-born British artist, and to position her beyond the geopolitical references that have become almost synonymous with her production. Including installations, videos, sculptures and photographs, 'Projection' will subtly question the semantic field usually associated with Hatoum's work and open up new possibilities, hint at new meanings and propose a complex and renewed reading of her universe and diverse body of work.
