Christian Marclay participates in Sapporo International Art Festival (SIAF), art-directed by musician and composer Otomo Yoshihide. This year’s edition, titled ‘What is an Art Festival’, focuses on the participation of the citizens of Sapporo.

Marclay’s solo-exhibition at Sapporo Art Museum includes works he made for the ‘Variations on a Silence: Project for a Recycling Plant’ exhibition in 2005 at Re-Tem Tokyo Plant. Six animations, presented last year at White Cube Bermondsey, are also shown, alongside earlier videos such as Fast Music (1982) and Record Players (1984).
