Some of the most revered artists, musicians and filmmakers working today join us to explore the 'Seven Deadly Sins' with their film of choice, followed by an in-depth Screen Talk.
Shortlisted for the Turner Prize in 1998, artist and filmmaker Sam Taylor-Johnson released her debut feature film, Nowhere Boy in 2009 and we are delighted to welcome her as she opens the season with a screening of Anthony Minghella's 1999 classic, The Talented Mr. Ripley. This terrifically tense thriller explores the dark motives of fraudster Tom Ripley. It is a gorgeously unsettling film that deserves to be seen on the big screen.
Sam Taylor-Johnson will join writer and film curator Gareth Evans in conversation after the screening.
