In collaboration with London Sinfonietta and The Vinyl Factory
White Cube Bermondsey
28 January – 12 April 2015
In late January 2015 White Cube will present a major solo exhibition by Christian Marclay. As well as new paintings, works on paper and video works, the exhibition will feature a dynamic programme of performances.
The London Sinfonietta will work alongside Marclay in collaboration with some of the world’s most acclaimed contemporary composers and improvisers, reacting to the gallery installation. Events including live improvisation sessions and performances of newly commissioned compositions will take place every Saturday and Sunday afternoon for the duration of the exhibition.
Marclay will also collaborate with The Vinyl Factory who will take up residence in the gallery to press vinyl records of the recordings made during the previous weekend’s performances. Working alongside The Vinyl Factory will be Coriander Studio, who will print unique silk-screened record sleeves.
All of the performances are free and open to the public, but spaces will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.
