Theaster Gates is included in ‘Travelers: Stepping into the Unknown’, the group exhibition commemorating the 40th anniversary of the National Museum of Art, Osaka.
Works from over 40 Japanese and international artists are included in the exhibition. Examining time, history and memory the works reflect various aspects of society, while also looking forward to the future of the museum. Gates will be showing Tiki teak (2014) and Colmar with Heavy Heat (2016), along with film works and bronzes.
