Tracey Emin and Gilbert & George feature in ‘LOVE. Contemporary art meets amour.’ at Chiostro del Bramante. Curated by Danilo Eccher, an art critic and curator, the group show marks the gallery’s 20th anniversary with works that explores various facets and manifestations of love.
Tracey Emin’s My Forgotten Heart (2015) is a neon statement work scrawled in her own handwriting. It is featured in the exhibition alongside works by artists including Yayoi Kusama and Andy Warhol.
In Gilbert & George's Metalepsy (2008), the artists explore the identity of art and life through disfiguring their own bodies in a tangled image. It was first shown as a part of ‘Jack Freak Pictures’ exhibition at White Cube in 2009.
