White Cube is pleased to release this screenprint by Harland Miller. Miller is a painter and writer and his book cover imagery always toys sardonically with language. Here the screenprint returns the book cover to the graphic process of printmaking, and yet the painterly qualities of the artist’s work are still present. 'Death, what’s in it for me?' is based on an original watercolour by the artist. Using humour and the cerise and white design of the Pengiun cover that represents the 'travel and adventure' series, Miller wryly encourages us to consider the greatest metaphysical adventure of all.
