In this film, curator Adriano Pedrosa discusses the origination of his exhibition Open Cube at White Cube Mason's Yard. Pedrosa talks about the how the exhibition developed out of a reaction to the notion of a 'white cube', where the physical space of the gallery is suspended and isolated from the outside world. He also discusses how, by creating an open submission competition for artists, he was able to make the process of selection and curating transparent and democratic.
