In this short film, Virginia Overton discusses her exhibition at White Cube Mason's Yard. She talks about her installation process and how the work is the result of a constant negotiation between space and material. Reflecting on the unpredictable nature of her material – whitewood – and how it acts in different ways according to the conditions of the gallery, Overton explains how she makes sculpture that is dynamic, rather than static.
