Cerith Wyn Evans at Aspen Art Museum

Aspen Drift, a solo exhibition by Cerith Wyn Evans, opens at Aspen Art Museum, Colorado on 10 June 2021. The first museum presentation of Wyn Evans' work in over 17 years, it features installation, sculpture, painting and works on paper. The exhibition centres around the notion of 'drift', both as a register of freedom and a reference to the museum's surrounding, mountainous landscape. As always with Wyn Evans' work, the exhibition installation is site-specific, engaging with the spatial coordinates of the museum to harness all of our senses and question the act of perception and cognition. The exhibition includes sculptures from the 'Neon Forms (after Noh)' series, several sculptures incorporating Italian Murano glass chandeliers and StarStarStar/Steer (Transphoton), 2019, an installation comprising seven variously illuminated columns of light.
