The National Gallery of Iceland presents Christian Marclay’s The Clock (2010), marking the first time the work has been shown in Iceland.

The Clock is a 24-hour video montage composed of thousands of film and television clips depicting clocks and references to time. The work was awarded the Golden Lion at the Venice Biennale in 2011.

The National Gallery will host full 24-hour screenings of The Clock on two special occasions: once on the exhibition’s opening night and again on the summer solstice.
