Darren Almond’s Crossrail Art commission is publicly unveiled, as the Elizabeth line station opens to the public

To mark the expansion of the Elizabeth line in West London, three artworks by British artist Darren Almond have been permanently installed in Bond Street station as part of the Crossrail Art programme. The artworks – Horizon Line, Shadow Line and Time Line – are cast in bronze and aluminium in the same vernacular as the nameplates that historically used to adorn British steam trains. In keeping with this lineage the sculptures have been hand cast and polished by the heritage sign company that supplied many of the network’s locomotives.
