On the occasion of Doris Salcedo’s solo exhibition at Fondation Beyeler, the artist will sit down with curator and art historian Nick Serota to discuss the works on show in the exhibition.

The solo exhibition marks Salcedo’s first major survey in Europe and first solo exhibition in Switzerland, and showcases works created throughout the artist’s 30-year career. Drawing on personal conversations with victims of violence, and exploring instances of collective mourning through installation and sculpture, Salcedo is well-known for her politically engaged and philosophical approach to making work.
