Doris Salcedo at Museum of Contemporary Art (MCA) Chicago

Posted:

21 February – 24 May 2015

The Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago presents the first retrospective of the work of Doris Salcedo. The exhibition features all major bodies of work from the artist’s thirty-year career – most of which have not been shown together before – as well as the US debut of Plegaria Muda (2008-10).

As part of the ‘MCA Talk’ programme, a series of events will present different perspectives on Salcedo’s works, including presentations from experts in the field, a spoken word performance by poet Malcolm London, and an artist talk by Doris Salcedo, inaugurating the exhibition. Full details are available on MCA’s website.

The exhibition travels to Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York 26 June – 14 October 2015.

Curated by Pritzker Director Madeleine Grynsztejn and Curator Julie Rodrigues Widholm, Curatorial Assistant Steven L. Bridges.
