Ellen Altfest’s work will be featured in the 9th Biennial of Painting at Museum Dhondt-Dhaenens. Titled ‘Stories from the Ground’, the exhibition brings together the work of 32 artists who explore the concept of ‘ground’ in diverse ways – from the earth beneath our feet to the notion of painting as an age-old foundation that provides stability and support while challenging existing ideas in art.

Marking the 9th year of the Biennial of Painting, the show examines the ever-changing yet distinctive tradition of painting through a selection of artists’ unconventional practices.

The Biennial coincides with the reopening of Museum Dhondt-Dhaenens after a recent renovation.
