David Altmejd’s Untitled 1 (Bronze Bodybuilders) (2014) is included in this year’s Frieze Sculpture. Situated in Regent's Park, the exhibition features a series of works selected by Clare Lilley, Director of Programme at Yorkshire Sculpture Park, and runs from 5 – 18 October 2020.

Altmejd has described his practice as one grounded in a ‘fascination with nature, a taste for the uncanny and an excitement for unpredictable things, things that transform and that are difficult to describe.’ In this work, a figure appears to have dragged matter up from the plinth on which it stands in order to form itself. ‘I like the idea that the sculpture itself has the power to decide and build its own form’, he has said.
