Works by Ibrahim Mahama and Liza Lou feature in ‘Pulling at Threads: Part 1’, the inaugural group exhibition at the Norval Foundation in Cape Town. Exploring the role of craft in the practices of contemporary artists from South Africa and beyond, this exhibition highlights the social, political and religious meanings of the materials and techniques they use.
