Josiah McElheny’s Island Universe will be installed at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) starting this September. Occupying a central position in the Resnick Pavilion, this monumental installation embodies the concept of the multiverse.

The work will serve as a companion to the forthcoming PST ART: Art & Science Collide exhibition ‘Mapping the Infinite: Cosmologies Across Cultures’, also on view at LACMA’s Resnick Pavilion. Two public talks, discussing various aspects of Island Universe, will occur during the run of the installation, dates forthcoming.
