Ibrahim Mahama covers the façade of the University of Michigan Museum of Art with a large jute-sack installation, marking the first outdoor exhibition of his work in the United States.
The architectural intervention is part of ‘In-Between the World and Dreams’, a multi-venue project exhibiting Mahama’s art at three locations:
· 1 – 23 October: University of Michigan Museum of Art, 525 S. State St., Ann Arbor
· 1 – 23 October: Institute for the Humanities Gallery, 202 S. Thayer St., Ann Arbor (viewing from the gallery window only)
· 12 October – 5 December: Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History, 315 E. Warren Ave., Detroit
