Join us at White Cube Bermondsey for the preview of solo exhibitions by Mona Hatoum, Dóra Maurer and Harmony Hammond.

Mona Hatoum presents new and recent installation, sculpture and works on paper. For her first solo show in London since her Tate Modern survey in 2016, the artists reflects on subjects that arise from our current global condition, such as systems of confinement, the architecture of surveillance and themes of mobility and conflict. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀
Dóra Maurer’s exhibition features works made between 1999 and the present day with a focus on her 'Overlappings' series – sculptural paintings which explore the potential of colour to influence human perception. Elegant and seemingly lightweight, they create the illusion of layering and three-dimensional folds.

The first European solo exhibition by Harmony Hammond shows recent paintings composed of grids of grommeted canvas intermittently layered with patches of coarse burlap, rope, straps and Hammond’s signature thickly applied paint. The resulting textured canvases, with their protrusions, seams and fraying edges, are suggestive of spaces and histories buried beneath the painted surface as well as of body orifices.
