The Takis Foundation announces silver collectable coin to mark the centenary of the artist’s birth

The Takis Foundation has announced the release of a new collectable coin, ‘100 Years since the Birth of the Sculptor Takis’. Issued by the Bank of Greece and the Ministry of National Economy and Finance as part of the 2025 Monetary Programme, the coin celebrates the centenary of the artist’s birth.

The silver collectable coin commemorates the pioneering work of Takis, as well as the Takis Foundation, established by the artist in 1986. The coin will have a nominal value of €6.

The Takis Foundation will be honouring the 100th anniversary of the birth of Takis (1925–2019) with events taking place throughout the year.
