As part of the Singapore Art Week Forum 2025, Theaster Gates will deliver the keynote lecture, drawing on his interest and training in urban planning, craft and conceptualism. The lecture will be followed by a conversation moderated by Patrick Flores, Chief Curator at the National Gallery Singapore and Professor of Art History and Criticism in the Department of Art Studies at the University of the Philippines, Quezon City.

The Singapore Art Week Forum 2025 is organised by the National Arts Council, National Gallery Singapore and Singapore Art Museum, and supported by the Singapore Tourism Board. Organised around the theme ‘Art Publics’, the Forum brings together international artists, curators, and museum and urban practitioners to rethink art’s relation to the public.
