Theaster Gates’s ‘Black Image Corporation' is shown for the first time in the US at the Spelman College Museum of Fine Art, Atlanta.

The project explores the legacy of the Johnson Publishing Company archives, and how these images have contributed to shaping the aesthetic and cultural language of contemporary African American identity. ‘Black Image Corporation has previously been exhibited at Fondazione Prada, Milan, Gropius Bau, Berlin and 180 The Strand, London.
