Tracey Emin is the latest artist commissioned to design the Connaught Christmas tree in Mayfair, London.

In loving memory of her mother and all who miss someone at Christmas, Emin’s tree incorporates a written poem, recreated in neon and carefully positioned. At the top of the 30-foot Norway spruce sits a glowing angel, a tribute to Tracey's mother who died last year.

The poem reads:

What I give to you is all I have
An open wanting
Deep in the layers of my heart
And in return I catch
your smile
The greatest gift of all
