White Cube announces solo online exhibition of works by Margaux Williamson

Posted:

19 March – 11 May 2021

White Cube is pleased to present an exhibition of new works by Margaux Williamson as part of the 'Introductions' online series. In her paintings, Williamson creates careful compositions with household objects using multiple planes and perspectives. She draws attention to our domestic interiors — the exact spaces that many of us have been restricted to in the last year — with a newfound attentiveness and vérité.

Williamson was born in 1976 and is based in Toronto. Her last series of paintings was made into a book called ‘I Could See Everything’, published by Coach House Press. She has been artist-in-residence at MacDowell in New Hampshire, the Art Gallery of Ontario in Toronto and the Klondike Institute in the Yukon. McMichael Canadian Art Collection, Kleinburg, will be hosting an exhibition of her work from the last ten years, in September 2021.

White Cube 'Introductions' are a series of dynamic online presentations featuring a diverse range of artists new to White Cube’s programme.
