White Cube is pleased to participate for the first time in artmonte-carlo, taking place at the Grimaldi Forum Monaco from 25 – 28 April 2019.
The gallery will show work by leading British artists Darren Almond, Tracey Emin, Cerith Wyn Evans, Mona Hatoum and Antony Gormley, alongside international figures such as Pier Paolo Calzolari, Theaster Gates, Imi Knoebel, Virginia Overton and Léon Wuidar.
Following Tracey Emin’s acclaimed solo show ‘A Fortnight of Tears’ in London, White Cube presents a selection of works by the artist on the booth, showcasing her wide-ranging practice. Highlights include the aquamarine neon She Lay down Deep Beneath The Sea (2012), the recent paintings You Protect Me (2018) and I am the animal you want me to be (2018), alongside Too far for me to touch (2017), a bronze sculpture featuring a small bird perched on top of a 1.9m high pole.
Further highlights include a selection of Belgian artist Léon Wuidar’s brightly coloured abstract canvasses inspired by post-war architecture, Cerith Wyn Evans’ neon Time here becomes space, Space here becomes time (2004) and Mona Hatoum’s sculpture Stool I (2014).
